Judge Josh Thacker was born and raised here in Griffin.
Judge Thacker married his high school sweetheart, Meredith Grubbs Thacker and have two children, a daughter named Riley Kate and a son named Laine.
They are members of First Baptist Church of Griffin.
The Thackers love running and can be seen regularly at local 5K & Half-Marathon events.
Judge Thacker is a graduate of Griffin High School, the University of Georgia, and Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
After passing the Bar Examination, Judge Thacker’s first job was with the Spalding County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney.
Judge Thacker served Spalding County by prosecuting every type of case from Murder to Speeding.
Upon leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he entered private practice and opened Josh W. Thacker, Attorney at Law here in Spalding County.
Judge Thacker worked vigorously to protect the rights of his clients here in Spalding County.
Judge Thacker has dedicated his entire legal career to service and is honored to have this opportunity to serve Spalding County.
